Flood Super Wideslab® provided for Special Care Unit, Portrane Dublin

Main Contractors / PSCS on 17th August 2015 for the €9.0m HSE Special Care Unit, at Crannog Nua, Portrane.

The HSE Special Care Unit, at Crannog Nua, Portrane consists of a new Special Childcare Residential Unit, with link extension between existing school and gym buildings and the refurbishment of existing 6 buildings along with external upgrade to the current ground works.

Precast concrete flooring with cored units are manufactured using polystyrene inserts, which remain within the unit.  This avoids the need for drainage holes in the soffit.

The method of manufacture lends itself to providing details such as solid ends,
notched ends, cantilevers, splays, holes etc., which can be formed during manufacture.  Additional reinforcement can also be accommodated due to our method of production

Flood Super Wideslab® flooring is ideal for meeting the requirements of building regulations such as Part E (Sound).

Units are manufactured complete with lifting sockets for use in the final positioning of units on site.

Where necessary bespoke units can be provided to accommodate awkward shapes and fill voids, thus eliminating the need for in-situ strips in the floor.
