Flood precast provideds Solid Flood Super Wideslab Floors for this project. The Filigree Wideslab method of deck construction can be applied anywhere conventionally poured-in-place concrete is specified. It can be used for flat plate, beam and slab or wall-bearing concrete structures. Any strength requirements needed for poured-in-place construction can be readily met with the Filigree method.
Solid Super Wideslab flooring systems have a number of advantages:
a) Reduction in Frame Size:
Precast floors can be designed to act compositely with the structure of the building to reduce frame sizes: e.g. main support beams supporting solid slab and screed can be designed as T-beams.
b) Progressive Collapse
Prestressed composite floors can be tied-in to the main structure and are therefore particularly suited to buildings where progressive collapse is a consideration.
c) Diaphragm Action
Precast floor slabs together with the structural screed provide a structural deck with full diaphragm action where required in multi-storey buildings.
We worked with Kavannagh Construction Ltd, who was appointed by Court Collaboration property developer transformed Sutton Coldfield’s former council house which was demolished to make way for a new build of seven high-spec two and three-bedroom apartments in one of the town’s most desirable postcodes, retaining many of the building’s original features.
The £4 million project now known as The Chase, is Court Collaboration’s second development in Sutton Coldfield after it bought the town’s former Council House in 2014.
