We are delighted to be involved again with Bouygues UK on their prestigious Hallsville Quarter Development in Canning Town, London. Bouygues proactive policy of early engagement with their key supply chain members proved very effective in allowing the Flood teams scope to design, manufacture and supply precast concrete Super Wideslab®, columns & beams in a controlled and timely fashion.

BYUK Project Director Carlos Gutierrez commented; “From the initial design stages through to the completion of the works on site Flood Precast maintained a very helpful, professional and competent manner. Flood Precast personnel worked well with all Bouygues staff and the design team to deliver a high quality project in a safe manner and within the programme constraints”.

The columns and beams that Flood Precast supplied form the ‘crown’ to the top levels of Blocks B1, B2 and C1. These were originally designed as a steel structure but with some value engineering a precast concrete solution was found. This provided a much more durable structure and improved on construction time.

One of the key factors for this section of work was providing a very fast lead in time. Site tower cranes had been scheduled for decommissioning in Mid Dec of all structural elements needed to be cast, delivered and erected within a 3 week programme while also allowing for winded off days due to working elevation of 16th floor level.
