St Albans Train Station Multi Story Car Park, London – 15,000 sq m of 75mm Flood Super Wideslab plate

Flood Precast won the project based on a design that made savings on programme (installation of 2.4m wide slab units per crane lift) and eliminated the need for any temporary propping during construction. 75mm deep prestressed plates on 4m spans which provided sufficient cover to meet the durability requirements of an exposed marine environment gave additional savings on the construction budget and programme for the follow on trades.

Sainsburys Multi Story Car Park, Blackpool – Flood Super Wideslab ®

50% less propping needed The pre-stressed concrete plate chosen for this multi-storey car park enabled construction to take place with less than half the temporary propping that would have been required if conventional reinforced plate had been used.

New Street Station Car Park, Birmingham  – Flood Super Wideslab ® 

BIM was used at Birmingham New Street Station Car Park. 10,000 m² of Super Wideslab® has been designed, manufactured, delivered and installed at the 11 storey split level New Street car park.  This project was carried out in three phases . The 2.4 m wide Super Wideslab® allows faster installation and a rate of 500 square metres per day was achieved.
