Timescale: Ongoing through a construction programme of 12 months

Key project issues that Flood Precast solved:

  • Meeting the design requirements for the platform loadings.
  • Wet cast production process allowed plank widths to be manufactured to allow maximum widths for handling at the same time as minimum widths for units to be dropped through access shaft into the tunnel.
  • Wet cast production process also allowed for hangers for services to be cast into bottom of planks to eliminate post drilling of fixings for service runs below the platform.
  • Providing the logistics of deliveries in sequence into very busy London city centre site with just-in-time delivery requirements.
  • Full transport safety accreditation to meet city of London and Crossrail requirements.
