Flood Precast – Residential Developments in the UK and Ireland.

Flood Precast has been involved with a number of successful Residential developments over the years.

Precast concrete products have long been used in commercial and infrastructure developments. However, when we think of residential developments, precast concrete is not the first material to come to mind. Why is this? Precast concrete products offer design flexibility, quality assurance and many other benefits that make it the best choice.

We will look at two of our products and the benefits that they provided to associated projects Flood Super Wideslab® and our Precast Concrete Stairs.

Precast Concrete Stairs

The Benefits of Precast Concrete Stairs.

When building a multi-story building there are a variety of advantages that come with choosing precast concrete stairs versus other materials like in-situ stairs or steel.

Advantages include:

  • Noise reduction.
  • Immediate working platform and use.
  • Affordable
  • Easy maintenance.

With Precast stairs they can be shipped to the site and when the building contractor or client are ready they can be installed as the building moves up which allows them to be used straight away.

Since precast stairs are made at our plant here in Hilltown, they are made under controlled conditions so it’s not as labour intensive or expensive as in-situ concrete stairs.

Our customers can choose from full flight stairs with top, bottom or both landings attached.
