Flood Precast provided precast concrete stair cores and landings for the Institute of Regeneration and Repair, Edinburgh. These precast stairs and landings were designed and manufactured in reinforced concrete to suit the individual requirements of the client.
Construction is due to finish on a £50 million research centre focused on how the body repairs its tissues after injury. The Institute of Regeneration and Repair, Edinburgh is being set up to discover new therapies for debilitating diseases of the brain, liver, lung and blood. The Institute will bring together experts in stem cell biology, regenerative medicine and inflammation biology under one roof.
Together CTR and CRM will form the University’s new Institute for Regeneration and Repair (IRR) which, when completed in 2020, will be home to over 600 researchers
Designed by architect Stantec, the 4-storey centre will offer scientists and students access to seminar and exhibition spaces, a café and courtyard as well as a dedicated in lab double-height ‘collaboration zone’.
All our precast concrete stair cores and landing units are designed in-house, manufactured, delivered and installed to the highest standards. Precast stairs can be placed along with concrete flooring giving immediate safe access to upper floors quickly and efficiently. All precast stair and landing units are designed in accordance to relevant codes BS and Euro codes
