Hollowcore Slabs and Precast Stairs for Merthyr Bus Station

Flood Precast provided 200mm Hollowcore Slabs and Precast Stairs to the main contractor Morgan Sindall at Methytr Bus Station in South Wales.

Merthyr Tydfil’s new multimillion-pound town centre bus station was completed in October 2020 on the site of a former police station site on Swan Street in the town. The new bus station will be located closer to the town’s railway station with the aim of creating  a new transport interchange facility and link-up with rail’s South Wales Metro and to allow new development opportunities to be considered for the current bus station site.

The project has been co-designed with the Cardiff Capital Regional Transport Authority and the council has retained Capita to support the management of the construction contract.
