Flood Precast have completed the supply of 15,000 sq m of 75mm wide slab plate for the new Sainsburys Car Park, Blackpool.

Flood Super Wideslab® is a 2.4m wide prestressed composite flooring solution unique to Flood Precast. In conjunction with J&P Pierce Structural Steelwork, the complete erection period of the frame was done in just under 10 weeks and handed over to main contractor, Shepherd Construction, ahead of schedule.

Flood Precast won the project based on a design that made savings on programme (installation of 2.4m wide slab units per crane lift) and eliminated the need for any temporary propping during construction. 75mm deep prestressed plates on 4m spans which provided sufficient cover to meet the durability requirements of an exposed marine environment gave additional savings on the construction budget and programme for the follow on trades. Flood Precast also provide all Precast Concrete Stairs which were delivered to site fully protected for immediate use.
