Precast Stairs and Hollowcore provided for Rapid Build School in Dublin

St Catherine’s NS Rush Rapid Build School project consists of a new 16 classroom school with a SET facility and associated siteworks. The project also includes the demolition of the existing school and removal of the existing prefabricated buildings under a phased programme, along with the provision of temporary accommodation for part duration of the works. The New school is to contain a GP Hall, a library/resource room and other ancillary accommodation.  The siteworks include for all soft and hard play areas, 2nr ballcourts, foot and cycle paths, 64nr bicycle spaces contained in bicycle shelters, boundary treatments, pedestrian and vehicle access roads, car parking and landscaping.  The project is due to commence construction in May 2015 with a programmed completion date of May 2016.

The use of Precast Concrete Hollowcore Flooring is a highly cost effective solution that fits easily into any structural system such as steel or concrete frame or indeed masonry construction.

This rapid build school project contained 1372m2 of 200mm Hollowcore, 680m2 of 250mm Hollowcore and 3noPrecast Stairs.
