There was a need for a fast turn-around on this project due to installation and deliveries being tied into the school’s summers holidays. Flood Precast provided precast concrete products for the new teaching block. Flood Precast worked well with the project design team to ensure a smooth design process and that the overall design sign off was achieved in a timely manner so that manufacturing of the precast stair units and 350m2 of hollowcore flooring could take place and be on site for the agreed date.
Flood Precast have a very good working relationship with Kier Construction, and we worked closely with the design teams to get approval of the overall design of the floors and stairs and then getting the products on site on time.
The new teaching block is to be up a running by 2017. It will provide a new teaching and maths classroom facilities for staff and pupils. Dene Magna School is a secondary school in Mitcheldean, Gloucestershire, England, previously known as Abenhall Comprehensive School. The school is mixed, and has 747 pupils aged between 11 and 16
