Project Information: Scared Heart Secondary School, Tullamore
The works carried out at Scared Heart Secondary School Tullamore consisted of the construction of a five classroom and Science Room in a single storey extension of 385.21m2 to the existing Secondary School, in Tullamore, Co. Offaly. The project was be complete in 2 phases with Phase 1 (extension) which began in October 2014 and Phase 2 (roof works) to begin during the October mid-term break.
Leamore Construction was appointed to this project. In conjunction with the design team we designed, manufactured and supplied hollowcore flooring.
Hollowcore flooring is an efficient and modern flooring solution that can be implemented within a great many structures. Comprised of precast concrete with lengthwise voids, Hollowcore is the ideal solution for those who are looking to take advantage of the strength of traditional concrete while simultaneously enjoying a low weight and high load capacity.
Hollowcore design makes the product easier to transport and handle during construction, and requires less material to manufacture compared to solid concrete slabs thereby reducing carbon emissions.
Hollowcore provides an immediate solid floor surface and is able to accommodate service pipes and electrical wiring, as well as suspended ceilings.
