Precast Concrete Stairs for Hotel and Apartment Complex

Flood Precast multi-disciplined teams work together to provide a quick and efficient turn around so that we meet delivery schedules provided by our customers. One such project we will talk about below:

Project Information: Hotel and Apartment Complex, United House, Kingston Heights.

Our Design Department worked efficiently with the engineering and architecture teams that we’re part of the design team on this project. There was a necessary need for a quick turnaround on the design of the Precast Concrete Staircores.

Flood Precast designed, supplied and installed Precast Concrete Stairs for the 142-bedroom The Double-tree by Hilton hotel which was completed toward the end of 2014

This complex has been built on the former site of Kingston Power Station, and was the first UK building project for the complete encapsulation of a live sub-station, in order for surrounding land to be developed. This development was a total bespoke construction project.

This is £70 million mixed-use development in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames in southwest London, United House are main contractors on the project which will comprise 136 residential units, including 80 private apartments, 56 affordable homes, and an up market 150 bedroom hotel with meeting, banqueting and conference facilities.

This complex was extremely important and interesting in its design, as it incorporated an innovative renewable energy system that uses the heat stored in the water of the Thames. This may be the prototype for the future of low-cost renewable energy systems. It harness this energy for the heat pump system which harvests the naturally stored energy from the River Thames, and then delivers under-floor heating and hot water for 56 affordable homes, 81 private apartments and the 145-bedroom hotel.
