Flood Precast provided 206 flights of precast stairs for colindale residential development.

Flood Precast specialises in the design and precast concrete manufacturers of Precast Concrete Stairs, in Ireland and UK. We design our precast stairs to suit our clients individual needs and requirements.

The volume of stairs required meant that the design process needed to run smoothly, our design team working together with the contractor to get sign off by the engineer and architect teams which was extremely important so that the delivery programme was adhered to and our precast stairs was delivered to site on time.

The ease and speed of the installation combined with high quality of finished surfaces makes a precast option very attractive for contractors and designers. The use of precast stair flights improves the overall efficiency and safety on construction sites. When a stair flight is installed it gives safe access to upper levels of the building without any delay.

The plot of land used for this residential development lies within the former Colindale Hospital site. Colindale Hospital was made redundant in 1996 and fully closed in 2008.

Two buildings ranging from five to nine storeys in height comprising 242sqm of commercial floor space on the ground floor and 157 residential flats on part of the ground floor and upper floors.
